Complaint board for Bus, Train and Metro (Ankenævnet for Bus, Tog og Metro)
The Complaint Board for Bus, Train and Metro investigates complaints from customers about problems experienced by bus, train or subway. A complaint has to be submitted to the service provider first and should there be an unsatisfactory outcome, then it is a good idea to pursue the complaint through the board.
Complaints so far has led quite a few reviews of transport companies, which overall has dropped approx. 40% of cases, which have been brought before the Board.
The Board deals with civil disputes - that is mainly disputes between the complainant and a transport company in Denmark.
The dispute must have occurred on 1 January 2009 or later for travel by public transport or driving, including individual handicap for severely disabled. The Board may also investigate complaints relating to travel with public transport outside of Denmark, where the services is sold by traders based in Denmark.
