Buy With Confidence | |
The Buy with Confidence and CustomerFirst schemes were initiated by Hampshire County Council and Devon County Council respectively to help businesses comply with the law while improving consumer protection through a partnership approach. Both schemes have now spread to a number of Local Authorities across the South and continue to grow.
Approved Codes Scheme |
CCAS is ‘facilitated self-regulation’. The scheme goes beyond consumer law obligations and sets a higher standard, showing consumers clearly – through the right to display the TSI Approved Code logo – that code members can be trusted. Areas where consumers will benefit from higher protection include: clear pre-contractual information, deposit and pre-payment protection, extra consumer protection for business conducted in the consumer’s home, clear complaints procedure and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).
The Consumer Codes Approval Board is responsible for everything connected to the running of the codes scheme, including setting the core criteria for approval, final approval of codes and their discipline/revocation schemes.
