Romanian National Trade Register Office
The Romanian National Trade Register Office is a public institution with legal personality, under the competency of the Ministry of Justice. It manages the Central Trade Register.
Trade register offices are located in Bucharest and in each of the 41 counties in Romania .The register office in each county operates alongside the courts and manages local trade-related records.
In accordance with Law no. 26/1990, the Trade Register contains information on the following:
• Companies;
• National companies;
• Autonomous administration;
• Cooperative societies;
• Cooperative agricultural credit institutions;
• Non-bank financial institutions;
• Economic interest groups;
• European groups with business economic interests;
• Commercial European companies;
• European cooperative societies;
• Authorised persons;
• Individual businesses;
• Family businesses; and
• Other natural and legal persons as expressly provided for by law (non-economic interest groups, European groups representing economic interests of a non-commercial nature, research and development institutes).
The Trade Register records all acts, deeds and the identity of the dealers involved for which registration is required by law, and any other acts or deeds expressly required by law.

• The main objects of activity declared by the trader;
• Secondary objects of activity declared by trader;
• Data on natural and legal persons associated (address, share capital, number and type of shares held, identity documentation, date and place of birth of associated individuals);
• Data on the administrators (address, nationality, date and place of birth, profession, rights), data on branches, sub-units (address, phone);
• Data on other secondary locations (address, phone); balance data (turnover, average number of employees, gross profit), if this information has been submitted.
