Official Portuguese Business Portal
The Official Portuguese Business Portal enables you to request permanent certificates (by name or NIPC number in Portuguese or English).
The NIPC is a corporate tax identification number, which identifies the corporate entity recorded in the register. As the relevant provision for all registrations in force and pending requests in respect of commercial entities, the register also reflects requests for permanent certificates in electronic and continually updated records. Access is based on a one, two, three or four-year paid subscription, which allows the user to:
• Incorporate a company online
• Search the registers online
• Request a company card
• Obtain a trade name for a company
• Obtain information on permits, previous authorisations and similar administrative conditions governing citizens’ economic activities
• Check the status of the Simplified Business Information request
• Apply for a trademark online
• Consult the constantly updated information contained in the Legal Code of Business.
Access to the Business Portal is free of charge, except for an area reserved for the creation of online companies and submission of registration requests. Applicants must authenticate such requests, using a digital certificate.This digital certificate is provided by professional order or available as a permanent certificate. You can access a permanent certificate by submitting a code following payment.
