European Consumer Center Portugal

The European Consumer Center is part of a network, the ECC-Network Promoted jointly by the European Union and national governments of 29 Member States. The CEC provides information and assistance free of charge through a service in person, telephone and in writing, to assist in the resolution of consumer disputes and facilitate transnational access to collective settlement of disputes.

 

The European Consumer Center:

- Informs the consumer on issues related to the internal market;
- Provides legal information and assistance in submitting claims;
- Facilitate access to justice alternative, providing a clear access to the European ADR;
- Provides information on EU and national legislation;
- Perform comparative studies on prices, legislation and other matters related to the consumption
