Iceland Tourist Board
The Iceland Tourist Board (Feroamalastofa) and was created under the Law on the appointment of tourism in Iceland. The aim of the tourist board is to promote tourism in Iceland, work on tourism policies, coordinate environmental education, information, regional development and international cooperation.
• Formulates and enforces policy in the field of quality control such as classification of lodgings and campsites.
• Supervision and development of databases and the Tourist version manual.
• Projects in the field of public relations and national advertising such as press releases and annual reports.
• Development and implementation of agreements relating to domestic tourism in the area of reconstruction and development as well as operational and financial department, such as management structure,development regions and Information.
