Federal Union of Consumers (UFC- Union Fédérale des Consommateurs)
The Federal Union of Consumers is a non-profit organisation. UFC Que Choisir defends the rights of consumers in litigation against corporations, and pushes for public policies reinforcing the rights of consumers.
The UFC-Que Choisir is an association of nearly 170 local associations comprising of more than 124 000 members.
The UFC-Que Choisir is also a recognised association of environmental protection.
In the framework of international cooperation between consumer movements, UFC-Que Choisir is a founding member of the European Bureau of Consumer Unions (BEUC) , based in Brussels, which represents the interests of more than 40 consumer organisations various member states.
