Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Romania

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania:
• Is a non-governmental, autonomous, nonprofit organisation of public utility, with judicial personality, which represents, sustains and defends the general interests of the business community from Romania in order to promote and develop industry, commerce, services and agriculture according to the standards of a market economy;
• Represents the general interests of the territorial chambers and of the other members in relation to the government and the central authorities, as well as on the international level;
• Offers to the government and the public authorities information and well founded opinions concerning the general interests of the economy;
• Integrates, guides and coordinates the activity of the bilateral chambers;
• Guides, coordinates and monitories the activity of the territorial chambers in order to develop their activity;
• Contributes to the consolidation of the business community and to the sustainable economic development at local, regional and national level;
• Collects information and documents for the use of its members and of the business community.
