Can I ask a service provider to provide information about their service to me in English?

Back

All service providers operating in the UK, whether they are based here or elsewhere, must now make certain information available to their customers in English. See What consumers can expect page.

However there is no new requirement for a service provider to give information in English if they are based in another EEA country and do not offer services to customers in the UK. Other countries where English is an official language may also require businesses to give information about their service in English.
